Farm & Forest Trek

Trek Details

Northwest Llama Treks Farm & Forest adventure is an easy going adventure which is appropriate for just about anyone. All of the fun and adventure takes place from our Trout Lake, Washington llama ranch at the base of Mt. Adams next to the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. You will lead your llama on a leisurely hike through the tree covered woods along with your tour guide and others for a 1.5-2 mile trek that has only 20 feet of elevation gain and loss. For some extra fun and the chance for your llama to show off their agility you can walk them through an obstacle course of wooded bridging, log jumps and other fun natural features.

Learning about the characteristics  of a llama is a key element to handling, trekking with and appreciating their curious and unique personalities. Which is why we will start our adventure off by learning about and getting familiar with llamas, their history and their uses.

As with all of our llama treks, we adventure rain or shine so please dress appropriately for your trek. Synthetic pants and shirts are best as they wick away moisture. Layers of clothing are always a plus. Comfortable and sturdy hiking shoes will keep those feet comfortable. Depending on the time of year, mosquitoes can be a pest so plan accordingly with the repellent or protction of your choice. In considering further comfort we suggest bringing a bottle of water and even a snack if you desire. While the farm & Forest Trek is not is wide open direct sun constantly, consider sun protection as needed. Baathrooms are provided at the Northwest Llama Treks headquarters.

Should any natural disaters occur in the area such as flood or fire, Northwest Llama Treks will cancel treks as needed and provide a full refund.
